I approach therapy with a view that everything in our lives impacts our experience - such as our job, family, health, language, identities etc.. Sometimes it can be hard to identify why we feel a certain way, but with this in mind we can explore and heal from hurt that we have gotten used to. I have been very intentional in approaching work that honors culture, specifically for latines where our families do not talk about mental health. We are strong and meant to 'aguantar.' I have specialized in working with trauma and stress related symptoms. Especially around the influence of family, social, and generational trauma.
